Is there a cheap place to develop c41 in NYC?
I don't shoot c41 at high enough frequency to make self-development worthwhile and cost-effective and stocking up on some color film to send out might take forever.

Depends on your definition of cheap and where you are in the city. I get develop only C41 35mm rolls done at the Photobar (28th between Park & Madison) for around $6. Good work, nice folks, but the real selling point is that it's a hop skip & jump from my office.

$6 isn't bad.
I pay $8 at LTI (30th street) which is a few blocks from my work. I will check out photobar, that isn't too far.
While living in LA, I found a place that did it for $4.

While in Chelsea also consider Print Space. I think their prices are quite reasonable.

I use CRC and ask for their 20 percent discount. For me, it's important to use a place with dip and dunk processing and nitrogen burst agitation for even development.

Photobar -- 28th btw'n Park and Lex -- is what I use. Sean Woo is the proprietor. I've been going there for years.

Did you ever have scratch issues at CRC?
Their minilab prints were all weirdly cropped for me, but the developing seemed okay
Their E6 is good, but I had a mismounted slides
