Hello,

I just purchased a Fuji GW690 and received it today. Well it is love at the first sight. I am flabbergast as how easy it is to handle and straightforward to operate. In my books simple that works is here to stay.
I am wondering if anybody has a preferred camera bag for carrying around this baby? I made a search on the forum but came back empty. I have already several (many) camera bag but nothing that would fit nicely this shape and size.

Cheers,

Luc

Congrats! I have one, too, and love it. I ended up getting a Domke F-3x, which easily fits the Fuji with room left over. I situate the camera with its back to the back of the bag, so the lens goes between the two "tube" pockets. I can also add an M2 + smaller lens in one of the tube pockets, if I take off the hood. I use the outer pockets for filters and phone. The front pocket is great for loads of film.

Thanks for the answer.
I have a F3x also and yes there is more than enough room to add a Canonet and filters....
I guess that the Canonet and filters can get in there too.
I am wondering if a smaller Domke might also work.
I also need to get a hood.

Cheers,

Luc

I didn't try all the Domkes at the store when I bought the F-3x, but the F-3x was the smallest Domke of the ones I tried, that "fit". It might be possible that the F-10 could work. I feel like I tried it, though, and decided against it. It has kind of an odd shape. I own the F-5xc and F-5xb and neither of those work, being too narrow (and thus perfect for 135 RFs).

I only have my Domkes and a LowePro Off-Road (for my DSLR + lenses). Since getting my first Domke, that's the only brand I really look at any more. Maybe someone else can point you to other brands that fit the big Fuji.

I was just at the store again today. I didn't have my Fuji with me, but the Domke F-8 looks like it might just fit the GW690 alone. It would be tight, but maybe that's what you're looking for (?). It has side pockets (kind of small), for filters, and maybe film (not sure).

You don't want to see the bag I use and how I treat my Fuji G690... fortunately it's a tough customer.

BTW: Luc, is that image below your signature from a Fuji G617?

Hello,

I just checked the inside dimensions of the F-8 are 6.5*6.5*3.5 and it will not fit. It needs about 8 wide *6 deep *5 height.

But thank you that would have been exactly what I would look for to carry only the camera with filters, meter and a few rolls.

Cheers,

Luc

No it is a panorama from 6 shots with a Pentax LX and SMC-A 24/2.8 on APX100 - that saves a few bucks!!!
