Ok so we've heard about all sorts of camera bugs. I thought I've seen them all...

Early this week, I did some studio, strobe-lit headshots for a friend who is into modelling. I was shooting digital all along, but decided to do some real BW using real BW film, with a Zenit 122 and a 13,5 mm Jupiter lens. Nothing prepared me to what I saw when I got the negatives developed!

?!?! is this a joke, or did you really just have some ants loose inside the camera body?!

Those were real ants crawling on the film. I did see a couple of them crawling through the viewfinder, but I never knew (until the film was developed) that there were more of them on the film. I left the camera out on a table for a couple of days and ants got into it. First time it happened to me, and first time for me to see real camera bugs! 😀

At first I thought, "Oh, ha, he must be playing us for fools and that's a silly photoshop. A funny, silly photoshop, but a silly photoshop nonetheless."

However, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, and say that's quite amusing!

Jay,

There might be termites in that studio.....better check if it's a wooden structure.
