Camera Porn - Leica MP Classic

I can't decide which is better: your photography or the camera. What can I say, I love it -- both!

Can you show us how you're set up to do these shots? I'd like to get into the porn business myself. ;-)

Hahaha this is too funny! :D

Great photos Terence, really!

Nice set and lighting! Do you have a small portable studio or something?

Hey thanks Alan :) Compliments always appreciated.

My other DSLR, a fuji S2 seems to not want to work and I can't get my el cheapo Olympus Mju II to do a decent shot, so can't get a shot of my little posted up.

It's quite a simple setup really. 2 x 180w strobes with 50w modelling lamps. Master strobe triggered by a sync cord hooked up to my EOS 1DmkII + Tamron 24-135 SP. The other strobe is slaved via an infra red trigger. Ideally I would like to use a radio trigger on my master strobe but so far, the sync cable has not fried my camera yet with any erratic voltage. For the closer shots, I use a Kenko 25mm extension tube, you get a macro lens with this $40 investment.

The subject is placed in a light tent with the strobes (w soft boxes) on either side. Camera mounted on a Gitzo 1348 legs with a Arca Swiss B1 on its centre column. I usually have the setup on my dining table, until the wife starts complaining, I then pack it all up into 2 little bags, light tent, light stands and all. I'm shopping around for some background supports to hang up muslin backdrops to do studio portraits and shoots of larger subjects (other than cameras). Been meaning to shoot a friend's extensive collection of Gibson and Fender guitars.

Hey, I'm still waiting for you to send your Black P over for me to shoot!

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Peter, yep, small studio setup as described above. Bring your olive R2 over one day, will love to shoot that.

Beniliam, so I've heard about the lens but I doubt this one will see any real use, being a collector's edition.

My eye was drawn to the Summicron too. That is the reissue Rigid? Very nice indeed.

Shooting borrowed cameras without consent is VOYEURISM!

(In Gan's case, the owner of the MP?, it's exhibitionism I guess)

I will! When are you free? Can I have a copy of the shots for my own collection? :D

Hey, hey, nothing illegal going on here! Fyi, Gan's MP is over HERE. This is someone else's.

Wah...How many MPs you got with you at the moment?
How did you ever believe that you would stay a leica virgin with all that temptation surrounding you?

Looking forward to pics of our M7 when it arrives....
