Camera Strap

I've purchased and am anticipating delivery of a Fuji GW670II, and I've been trying to find the ideal camera strap and strap connectors for it. For right now, I've purchased a set of 3/8 " Optech connectors for it, because I already use Optech straps with my 35mm cameras. Are the 3/8" connectors strong enough? If not, what should I be using instead?
