Hi folks!

recently two of my cameras were stolen, a Samsung GX-S1 DSLR (pentax clone) and my dear Olympus XA. Luckily they were insured, so hopefully all will be OK there. There were in a small backpack I misplaced which disappeared (in the space of a few minutes)

The dslr is easily replaceable, I don´t miss it at all, but the XA may be harder to replace economically, they seem to have increased in value recently. Is anyone selling one? if no I may have an A11 and 16 flash to sell soon 🙂

well, I just wanted to vent a bit!

Happy New Year!

Nick - very sorry to hear about your loss. Luckily the cameras are replaceable, with a little effort. While XA prices do vary, I'm sure a good one will come your way, with patience.

Good luck.

I've got an XA if you want it. The VF/RF is great and the body is light-proof.
Admittedly, as far as I can tell only one shutter speed operates and the shutter is prone to sparatic exposing even when the clamshell cover (which, by the way, snapped so that it attaches to the top but can be pried loose if pulling from the bottom) is closed.

caveat empor

My condolences on your loss. So far (and ONLY so far), I've managed not to have such a thing happen.

As for a replacement, there's always evil-bay. Or check in the 'classified' sections of forums. Such can be used for a "wanted" item, not just for selling.
