I live in Vancouver, don't think there is any decent Leica dealer around, no mention service center.
Do you need to sent M8 to US or even Solm to get it serviced or repaired?

You have to send it to NJ.
If you bought it from Leo's they can maybe have a Leica rep take care of it for you. If not, contact Leica NJ directly.

If lowly Edmonton has a Leica dealer then Vancouver does for sure! If you find one I'm sure they would handle all the details for you. Of course, sending it to NJ by yourself might be faster and cheaper!

Lens & Shutter will handle it for you as well as Leo's, but as noted above, NJ is the closest where it will actually get done. Some stuff is still better sent to Solms directly.
