A couple of years ago I was given my canon 7 and 50mm 0.95 which belonged to my granddad. However, it has a small amount of fungus on the very front element which I need removed.
I have taken it down to my 'local' shop 3 hours away in Brighton where i sent it for repair but they couldn't get to it. It was CLA`d though for only £25.
I was wondering if anyone knew a good reputable repairman who would be able to definitely carry out this repair.

BTW, what a wonderful thing to receive. The 50/0.95 (in good order) can really offer some great photographic opportunities. Wonderful.
CRR Luton is considered to be one of the relatively few Leica (and similar) repair shops on the globe. If they can't manage your lens, I doubt there's anyone in UK who can. Not saying there aren't others, but if you want to just get to the best and find out....

In the U.S., I would probably use DAG Camera Repair. He's handled plenty of 50/0.95 lenses.
