Hi,
I recently came accros a Canon 50mm f1.4 which had been adapted to Leica-M mount, there were some light scratch marks on the front and the focus/aperture ring was a little tight on sale for £90. I figured I would by it since the price was quite good (better than I had seen it sell for here in shops).
I just wanted to ask a question though, when I mount the camera to my M6 I noticed that it did not bring up the 50mm framelines. Is this normal? does this have any impact (other than inconvenience of remembering i have a 50 on there instead of a 35) on other aspects like focussing.
thanks all for your help.

I guess that you had an LTM-M adapter? If so, the adapter supplied was not the correct 50mm version.... you can buy a proper one from the bay.

What was the original mount for that lens? Was it screw mount? Was it an FD lens? EF? Something else?
