Canon 7 eyeglass protector

Is there an eyeglass protector that goes around the eyepeice ring for a Canon 7. I don't want to scratch my eyeglasses. I noticed that Stephen Gandy has one for M cameras. 😎

The CameraQuest one for Leicas is a bit small on a Canon -- the inner rim of the protector laps slightly onto the finder glass -- but you can still see through it, and it does provide some protection for your glasses.

Akihiro Asahi sells on eBay and has a web site. His protector for the Contax II/Kiev can be pressed into service (the hole is about right but the outside diameter a bit small. If you ask him he might make up a die for the Canon 7 (he made up a bunch for the FSU cameras for me).

Stephen Gandy's Leica-M protector looks, to me, like a pink-colored protector sold in drug stores [chemist shoppes] for corns on your toes...I believe it's called a corn plaster...For those who may not know, they are miniature donut-type things made, I believe, of some kind of plastic with adhesive backing...It wouldn't hurt to try one...You could trim it to size with a scissors and the cost for a box of them shouldn't be more than $2usd...regards, bob cole 😉

I've tried those, Dr. Scholl's brand here. The soft plastic rips off easily and the adhesive backing remains, leaving a mess. I have most a package left!
