Hello,
I've been an avid reader of the forum for years, although I have to admit that I've been lazy of taking part in the discussions.
But today I would appreciate your advice. Has anybody ever dismantled a Canon 80-200 f4 non-l nFD or a similar lens?
I've found one as defective at a flee market, the focus ring beeing blocked. If I compare it to my working copy it looks like someone forced the focusing mechanism way over infinity. I've tried to work my way from the back which did'nt bring me to the focus mechanism. On the front, I've loosened the lens ring and extracted the front lens but can't get further. Maybe there's even no way because of the blocked focusing mechanism?
