This morning I received an Adapter A for my FT. And, it didn't work with my Industar-26M. But I kind of knew that, because AFTER I pulled the trigger, I found another one with the instructions sheet. The seller posted photos of the instructions, and I was able to see that this adapter is for connecting a Canon camera to a microscope, or some other aperatus that uses M39 threads.

I supose a true Leica lens adapter would place the rear of any lens so far back in the mirror box, that it would One: Impede the movement of the mirror, which results in Two: Locking up the mirror before mounting. Kind of shoots a hole in the whole idea. Now the Adapter B looks like it could be useful (Canon lens to M39, which works as a 13.2mm extender). But it was four times the money for just experimenting with, and right now I don't even have a working LTM body. Oh, but a lad can dream, can't he?

While it may have a number of uses, it was usually sold to adapt LTM enlarging lenses for use on the front of the Canon bellows units or extension tubes for photomacrography.

Now that's an idea, Dwig. If I ever get a set of FL bellows. I'll make a search for thos adapters, Raid. The account isn't empty yet.
