I'm trying to restore a 40-year-old Canonet (the one with the finger winder). This is my father's camera, and it's been in the family for that long.

The camera appears to work fine, except for the lens, which has quite a bit of fungus on it.

Does anyone have the instructions for disassembling this camera?

Alright. I've disassembled the front element -- only to find that the fungus is nestled in mid-lens. Looks like I'll have to remove the lens entirely to get in there, right?

For just the outer front element. You can remove the inner ring, indicated by the double ended aroow.
If you need to go deeper. Remove the Cell retaining ring, outer arrows. You can then remove the lens cell to clean the inner front element.
The top is held on with only the three little screws around the edge of the top plate.

What tool does one use to remove that front element? A spanner wrench??

Also, how do you adjust the rangefinder on this model? I cleaned out the viewfinder on mine today, but seriously knocked the RF out of alignment.
