Canon LTM Canon collapsible 50mm f/1.9 and Canon IV S

I've heard that the Canon IV S has a different lens mount from the earlier cameras that the Canon collapsible Serenar 50mm f/1.9 was designed for. Will the lens fit and focus correctly on the Canon IV S?

The IV S uses the standard Leica Universal thread mount and the collapsible 50/1.9 will fit and focus correctly.
