I didn't know there was a collapsible Summarit. Are you sure you don't mean Summicron?

You need to be careful. There are baffles in the interior of the P that prevent many collapsible lenses from collapsing completely. There are workarounds, though (I use a couple of my daughter's hair doodles to keep my 50 Elmar from collapsing completely into the P).
