Have been wanting one for years, last night had trouble sleeping. Had surgery Thursday morning, and it turned out to be much more complicated. Any way was in ebay bought a P. 50mm 1.8 and 135mm 3.5. this morning was telling wife and got the look and head shake. I blamed it on pain meds

Give the 135 3.5 a try wide open for portraits. Although a bit weird on an RF shoot some portraits wide open and you'll love it -look it up on the gallery.
The P is a phenomenal camera though, you'll love it and with those lenses you have one hell of a setup!

I have a Canon 35/2.8 Serenar myself, extremely sharp in the center even at f/2.8 , sharpens edge about 5.6
With the 35/2.8 , 1 second @ f/2.8, on Kodak UltraTec (ISO 6)
Heard not-so-good things about the 35/1.8
Funny thing is with the 35/2.8, is that I love it adapted on my digital (Gives me a 70mm equivalent focal length, sharpest I got in the center, and love it for long exposures at night when stopping down to 5.6 or 8)

Enjoy your Canon P and lenses! I've always liked Canon, and have a lot of the LTM lenses. They all can take nice photos.

I tried out a P quite recently. Unfortunately I had to return it because of shutter curtain sync issues( banding seen at certain speeds ) I thought it was a real beauty of camera. The viewfinder whilst nowhere near as clear as an M was still more than useable. It also looked very elegant especially with my Canon 35f2 LTM attached. It handled wonderfully.

Had surgery on the 9th of this month so for now all I can do is fondle and dream of wonderful photos to come. I do believe it will replace my old standby, a Yashica Lynx.

I hope you convalesce successfully soon enough and be up and about to burn some film through that Canon P and try the different focal length lenses for it.

I bought a nice Canon P few months ago, and I use it more than my Leicas M. The only thing I advise you to buy is a Tom Abrahamson quiet shutter button. It will give you at least one stop extra. The shooting will be as smooth, you will not feel it.

Pain meds and ebay are a dangerous combination. Could not stand the laying around so got out yesterday and refilled bird feeder then took dog for a walk. Last night was a bummer and really paying for it now. Have already had a several lectures from the wife

But have been looking at the Russian M39 lens, wow never realized the range of lens from there, back to searching for a unknown jewel.

I've had good luck with Rooski lenses. Have a J-8 that's as sharp as anything I've ever used... a little soft on contrast, tho.
My favorites on the P are are a Canon 50/1.8 and a CV 35/2.8.

Yes years do make a difference, if I had know I was going to live this long would have taken better care of myself in the early years.
