These go for about 150, as those RF guys all know
really a superb package, very light, and good for low light even.
had it out tonite for a little test

the only bad part is the filter size. You have to buy an industar 61 L/D just to get a lens cap!

Gotta Love the Nex!
I'm using the Canon RF 35mm F1.5, the 50mm F1.2, and the 85mm F1.5 to my complete satisfaction. The 19mm F3.5 won't fit on, however.
Great match to the Nex.

that lens is good for anything it fits ...
What made you think it wouldn't be good on the Nex?

OK, now I'm officially deeply jealous.
4 of the sexiest lenses on the face of the planet. You better post some stuff up at some point, both camera smut and results.
The Nikkor 5cm f2 Rigid and 5cm F1.4 both focus to 18"...

How would you compare peformance of these to the Canon 1.4 and 1.8, Brian?
I see those 5cm Nikkor 1.4s going for alot of money.
best and ty for all your help
I have the Canon 50/1.4, owned 5 Canon 50/1.8's. Reason for selling the 50/1.8's- Too Good to get so little use. I tend to favor Sonnar formula lenses. The Canon 50/1.4 is one of the few 6 element F1.4 lenses made. Canon had a new glass and made good use of it.
The Nikkors are higher contrast, probably due to them being Sonnar formula lenses with less surfaces. The Nikkor 5cm F1.4 is more harsh for out-of-focus areas. The F2 lens is much smoother. The Nikkors give higher center resolution, at least mine vs the Canons that i have shot with. The Canons are better corrected for flatness of field.
Here is an old test with the Canon 50/1.4, Nikkor 5cm F1.4(early), and really good J-3.

What made you choose a NEX. I am tempted to get one.

I also use the Canon 50mm f1.8 on my Nex too. Gorgeous though I am using my Minolta M-Rokkor 40mm f2 more these days.

The chip size (biggest thing for me), the excellent high ISO/lowlight files, the low price ($350 body only!), and it fits nearly all my dozens of lenses through the cheapo ($23.50) adapters.
You should buy a Nex-3 body (Raid) considering that you have so many fine classic lenses! You can use them all on this camera. Highly Highly Recommended.

Isn't there also the NEX-5. Which is a better deal and which is a better camera for the money? NEX-3 or NEX-5?

Nex-5 is $200 more, no significant extra feature worth having in my opinion. Get a Nex-3 body only, and save the extra money for the adapters, batteries, cards, etc.
Some say the Nex-5 has better build quality, but I didn't find that in my case. I handled both cameras at my local BestBuy store before buying on Ebay.

Raid,
Look at this. Comes in black, silver or red from this dealer:

Thanks for the tip. I would then go for the NEX-3 to save on the cost if there are no vast and significant improvements in the NEX-5. It would be a great upgrade for me from the LUMIX DMC FZ5.

Raid,
Here is the dealer from which I bought my Nex Adapters. Look through his inventory, to find the ones at this price. I ordered LTM, M, Minolta MD, and Canon EOS all at once from him.
Here is his Leica M Adapter. Highly recommended:

That's where i got my Nex 3 body, but I visited the shop which is just 10 miles from me and got an extra £10 off. They are factory refurbs but cosmetically perfect and come with a years warranty. To get a Nex 3 body for this price is exceptional and I'm a happy bunny now that I can use my CV lenses on a digital camera.
