There's a very nice looking Canon VI-T and meter for sale on the Classic Forum. And I just paid almost twice as much for an M4-2.

Joe, You can also use the Knob to wind it and have more time to contemplate your next photo.
Great Price.

yes, i keep forgetting that.
and the price is nice ok, but the budget is shot.
too many lens hoods lately. lol
but i think it's time to start thinking photo projects and put a hold on photo acquisitions.

Re: Canon VI-T
Where specifically is that? I'd like to see the listing.
I've already got a VI-T and meter, but it's always fun to compare what other people have and what price they're asking.
For those who have said they don't think they'd like the trigger: It works especially well if you can find the accessory baseplate-mounted handgrip. And as someone else said, if that's too fast-paced for you, there's also a winding knob on the top.

this one has the grip, i believe.
and to be clear, it's not the pace that concerns me, it's more the style of shooting. i would think the trigger changes the flow and i quite like my present flow.
it's on photo.net in the pre 70's classic forum.

Sorry guys, I probably should have posted the VI-T here first but I somehow got the impression that maybe people were getting tired of me posting "for sale" ads here without contributing to the forum.
If anyone is interested I still have a chrome Canon 85mm f/2 Serenar with caps, leather case, and Canon 85mm finder in near mint condition, and a truly mint Nippon Kogaku Nikkor 135mm f/3.5 (LTM) with original caps, shade, leather case and Nippon Kogaku finder. The Nikkor is black bodied and is perhaps the most beautiful example I've ever come across. Neither lens shows much sign of use, glass is clean and free of cleaning marks. $175 for the complete 85 Serenar and $195 for the complete Nikon 135.
I also have a Canon Camera Holder complete with right angle accessory bubble level in the original Canon leather case. It doesn't fit the V or VI series so I suspect it may be for the P series. Oh, and a mint original Canon flash unit for the V & VII series in it leather case, don't know where one would find flash bulbs for it though.

Re: Canon VI-T
Victor,
Did you get the M4-2 off of ebay recently? Just curious because I saw one on there that looked really nice. I also recently bought an M4-2. A truly fine and beautiful camera.

Don, I believe that I speak for the gang when I say that placing items in the "For Sale" forum is a wonderful way to contribute to the forum.

No, we're not!
BTW, the 50/1.2 Canon I bought from Don is beautiful, and I never would have known about it if he hadn't posted it here.

Don: Not ebay, bought the M4-2 from a Canadian who listed it on photonet. I probably paid too much, but then it's really nice and usable without the need for the infamous "CLA". To even up my score on ebay, I just received an unbelievably nice Rolleiflex 3.5E Planar that looks as if it has never been used without the case. The only wear is to the focus knob. It also came with expensive extras like case, strap, hood and filters. I paid about what the accessories are worth!

Hello Victor,
If you only paid twice what I was asking for the Canon VI-T for your M4-2 then you got a good deal. I paid $750 for mine from a Photo.net forum member and it is truly a beautiful camera, about as close to mint as a camera of that age can be without being new in the box. I was very happy to find it at that price (I had been looking specifically for a nice M4-2 for some time).
Have a safe and Happy New Year!

dear don,
we very much like when you post 'for sale' signs here.
especially for canon items...
as for that 85/2 serenar, it's a handful of a lens but i quite like mine and it's very sharp.

Oh man, I like that photo!!! I haven't even tried the Canon 85/2, maybe I better do so! But then again, I worry about trying some of the really nice stuff I come across because I might get attached to it (I can only afford to keep so much, and that I try to keep to the standard 35/50/90 and just upgrade those).
