Picked up a couple of rolls of $1 film the other day and it's really not too good. Mainly, I think, it was outdated and stored in too much heat. There are spots where the emulsion is damaged on several negs. Most of my shots of late have been less than exciting :bang: Here's a couple that aren't too bad.

Other thoughts - the meter seems to be just a little on the low side in lower light. This is not a surprise with a selenium meter, I just need to get used to how it meters. Plus I do forget how carefully I need to focus wide open as I haven't used a lens this fast in awhile. And that window is forever getting me into trouble... but I liked how the flare happened when I deliberately shot for flare through the tree branches.

That meter is not doing so bad for something that has not required batteries in almost 45 years.

The Selenium window takes in a big FOV. I usually meter pointed down to get the sky and bright lights out of the picture.

The shots are looking good. I have a Ritz outlet near the house and get Kodak 400HD for $2.50 for a three pack. Usually out-of-date just for a few months.

Oh, I'm not complaining. I'm happy it's working so well. _I_ just need to get to know it's quirks - such as deciding which number it's really pointing at in those odd curves <LOL>

I have noticed that as well; I'll try doing that to get a better feel for it. Still I've been finding that most of the time I get a reading that matches my VC Meter II.

I'm playing with mostly the walgreens/agfa film - especially with that delightfull 8 rolls for the price of 4 special on the 200.
