In my previous thread questioning the battery to use for the camera, I appreciated everyone's comments and suggestions. I made reference to running a roll thru the camera, then checking the results, and my report is not good at all, although I do not know whether the battery was the problem.
Using a 200 film with 12 exposures on auto setting, with varying close, medium, and infinity shots all daylight, I was not pleased with any of them. All had some major problem ranging from grain, to washed out, to out of focus.
I found one of the instructions to be confusing where it referred to setting the pointer on the ASA ring to the sun, cloud, indoor setting as this was not possible since there was no indicator to point to. This may have been the major problem, but since the auto selector was used, it should take care of the exposure for whatever shutter speed happened to be when fooling around with the sun, cloud, indoor ring, right? or wrong (Question 1)?
Question 2 is what is a good reference source to use to compare my shots with to determine the problem with an individual shot. Tks for your input.
