Hi,
As a result of something that occured to my Canonet 28 (see thread: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52108)

I've been thinking about cleaning and lubricating the focus ring movement, and I want to do this myself.

The only info/advice I've found tells me these are among the worst cameras to work on!

I'm up for the challenge!

Anyone with diagrams, experience, comments about the parts, what to watch out for, etc???

Thanks!

hhmmm... I know what you mean but the focus movement is very stiff.. don't know how long it'll be until it actually gets stuck!

The worst that could happen is I'll have a lot of parts XD

Thanks greyhoundman.

Pics and notes are a given! (I've already made a detailed description of 'taking off the top cover and bottom cover, and tools I've used/made for the process - without causing damage!). I've been very (possibly 'over') careful, that when I 'undo' a screw or 'take off/out' a piece, I immediately do the reverse to check (and understand) what I'm doing! (and pics of course!).

- perhaps this might be 'time wasting' to some, but I'm in no rush, and in the end, if my 'picture sequences can be of use to anyone else then great!
