Hey guys, what's the news in the book Henri Cartier-Bresson Here and Now by Cheroux?
What is the difference compared to, let's say, HCB The Modern Century, which I already have?

Nobody? Is it the accompanying essays?

It's an exhibition catalog and is supposed to include some previously unpublished photos -- though these could well fall into the category of outtakes. The essays appear to be original to this volumne.

I was going to post but as I haven`t got the other book didn`t think I could add anything useful.
Here and Now is one of the best books I`ve bought this year.
Lots of photos that I haven`t seen before and the accompanying essays and bio are just the icing on the cake for me.
Its in the same style as the Winograd book ... can`t recommend it highly enough.

Just back from having visited the exhibition quietly and extensively. Four hours !
Carefully looked at the book.
It's an excellent catalog for this exhibition, yet IMO it doesn't bring anything new to current owners of previous reference books about him - especially "L'art sans art" published by Flammarion, or the sum "Henri Cartier-Bresson photographe" published by Delpire in the 1980's.
Will be back later again with some pictures taken at Beaubourg, when I have developed my films.

Hi Highway61,
Just looking online for L'art sans art. I can get the french language edition much cheaper than the english version. Stupid question, but would I be missing out on much going for the french language edition - are the written parts interesting/extensive (my french is rudimentary)?

Go for the English version - no question.

quick question, on Amazon UK there are two reviews of this book, one says great five stars, the other says print quality compered to the reviewers copy of the Europeans is very poor, one star and he's returning it. Have you any concerns regarding the print quality?
