Hi guys, I have read old posts on this, but still not satisfied with their solutions.
I have two standard bodies, one with chrome knobs and one with older nickel ones. Neither has strap lugs. I'm looking for strap and case solutions. I have tried original cases, which are not really usable because the leather is too old and brittle. I tried customized original case, but the size is still not comfortable.
I am seeking advice from you guys. Thanks.

Here is a sample shot with my standard in a case, which has long strap.

I have a Leica Standard, a '38, and it has lugs. Honestly I wish it didn't.
I think one of the beauties of the Standard is that it slides in and out of the pocket so easily if it is mounted with an Elmar. But I go ahead and use one of the lugs for a wrist strap, to pull it out of my pocket.
I reworked a Zorki case into a half case, but I never used it.

I am kinda a neck strap guy. I am so used to having a camera hang there. I ride bike to work and it's just not safe to have the camera in my pocket.
When I use P&S cameras, I even have long neck strap that allow them to dangle in from of me, haha.

Hi,
A couple of years ago I bought on ebay a modern ERC made somewhere in the former USSR. Looks like leather but isn't and even has the little inside pocket but it will only take a Leica II or FED/Zorki version. So NBG if your camera has a slow speed dial, longer die cast body or self timer.
And many would reject it as the camera can't be fastened in it by the tripod bush but is a tight fit, meaning friction. Even so, I like it...

That's funny, I ride my bike and shoot, and I like it in my pocket, it swings around too much on a strap.

I recently picked up a little case at a yard sale for two dollars. It says Samsonite Worldproof. It is just big enough to fit my IIIc with attached Summitar and my Luna Pro digital meter fits in the front pocket. The meter sticks out the top of the pocket a bit but the front flap covers it. My Leica 1 fits in with room to spare and the front pocket can hold a few rolls of film if I leave the meter at home. Several different sizes of these can be found on e bay. I think I have the smallest size and it has worked well for me. Joe
