Long time lurker, etc....

I'd really like to get some sort of case for my Super Isolette -- the absence of lugs (and hence no way to attach a strap) makes it hard to carry around and be ready for that decisive moment. :)

The cases themselves seem to be scarce -- does anyone know if cases for other Isolettes fit the Supers? Any other suggestions (aside from welding on strap lugs)?

Thanks,

Steve A.

Welcome to RFF. The Super Isolette is substantially larger than its Isolette II and III siblings. I have a battered case with of all things the straps cut off by a DPO and have been forever planning to take it to a leather shop.

Strap lugs would be nice. There may be space up on the top cover - but I'd have to open it and remove the cover to check the clearance with the film winder.

Man bag. Or coat pocket if it's cold enough.

I've wondered about this myself when I 1st started using folders. I don't find them to be very strap-friendly, even when they have lugs (e.g., Super Ikonta B), as the camera itself is kind of its own case.

I also use a man bag. An oldish Eddie Bauer notepad type bag that can hold the Isolette, DigiSix meter, Panasonic TZ-2 digital camera, a pen, notepad, film and some other junk. A fairly flat kit.

Definitely a bag, a case won't protect all parts of the camera from bumps and
drops. I have an Ansco Super Speedex, they are beautiful cameras aren't they? :)
