More cameras than shots
I've been looking for a leather case for my Ikonta M, I found a leaflet the other day on line that said the 1231/16 case was the right one. I found one here
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/381220097180
but the seller says it has a 3/8" tripod thread - my camera has a 1/4" thread (new style). I guess they know but any thoughts on what would be right? The leaflet I saw was here:

Thanks a lot

Many cameras of the period (including Leicas) were sold with options of either 1/4 (UK/US) and 3/8 (international standard), and in many, um, cases, the retaining screws were likewise available with both options.

Ah that makes more sense. I have found another which I've confirmed is a 1/4", it's a bit orangey but I guess that's authentic! I also wondered about the Zeiss numbering system which wasn't always 100% logical. Thanks a lot
