Nikkor. What else?
So - which lens should I be looking out for to fit this case ?
Great philosophy, looking for a lens to fit your recently acquired lens case.
Which 3.5cm lens are you trying to fit in there? Did you try to store it with or without the lens hood? It does make a difference, at least all my Nikon SLR lenses need to be stored without the hood in their respective cases. Not sure about Nikon RF, hopefully someone else can help you out.

I have the leather case for the 35/2.5 LTM, and it does indeed look a little different from yours (top doesn't overlap bottom?). Also, my 35/2.5 is very snug in its case, it won't fit with the wrong rear cap, for instance.
I would assume an even smaller wide angle, like the 28/3.5.

Great philosophy, looking for a lens to fit your recently acquired lens case.I usually buy a lens and then start looking for the missing bits, but I do like your approach.

Jan - I thought I did it the other way around since I have the f/2,5 and f/3,5 35mm Nikon lenses and wanted a case to them - but they do not fit (in none of the dimentions with or without the rear cap!!:bang

Hi Jon,
I didn't notice you already had the f/2.5 and f/3.5 35mm lenses, now I see you have them listed below your name.
Are the dimensions you give the internal dimensions of the case?

Found some info on lens cases here
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photograph...rces/RF-Nikkor/RF-Accessories/Cases/index.htm
looks like this page is still under construction. About half way through the page there are several lens cases, not sure if this will help you out though.
There are also some useful links at the bottom of the page re. finders, lens caps etc.

NIKON KIU
Did you say Nippon Kogaku
I believe that's the case for the normal 5cm lens.

Jon,
You may also want to check out this link on the same web page mircom.my
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photograph...-Nikkor/RF-Accessories/Misc/packing/index.htm
There is a picture of the 35mm f/3.5 in its original packaging, with box, lens case, front and rear cap (at about a third of the page down).
An f/3.5 is currently for sale on Ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=260315261628&_fvi=1
with what looks like the original caps and lens case.

Great stuff those links!
And especially looking at the linkes to the original 35mm cases it is clear that my case is not for the 35mm lens...
I will have to set aside some time this coming weekend to surf those pages on the net... lot´s of great pictures and information there!

Hi Jon,
This website mir.com.my is my on-line Nikon bible for everything concerning the F series. Everything I wanted to know about the Nikon F3 was right there, I don't think you can find this amount of info anywhere on-line.
As for the Nikon rangefinders, it seems they have only started. Some lenses are listed and others not yet, for instance, we're missing info on the 35 and 50mm lenses. But I'm sure that once they have finished, it will be a very informative source.
