Perhaps the most photographed political figure of the 20th century. I looked at all the various "his life in pictures" at NYT etc. Just brutal with ads popping up and meagre pickings, a few interesting ones.
Then I managed to get Getty to sort by age of photo and cull out the irrelevant:

Some of the best shooters of the era trained their lenses on him at one time or another. And plenty of anonymous ones as well. Some were on his side and plenty were not.
Anyway if you can see a gallery at AOL, I thought, why not do it right at RFF? 🙂
