Canon FTbn, FD 35/3.5, Yellow Filter, on Kodak T-Max 100.

Snow doesn't last long around here, so I have to be quick to get some decent photos when it does fall. Heck, it was forty degrees by the time I shot the last frame. Be sure to click in the link at the end to see the complete set.

That Canon is nice Phil. Wonderfully sharp & great contrast. The last image of the fence is my favorite. Nice to have something different to photograph eh? We get snow in Austin once every 7 to 10 years. Hell, it was 85 degrees here today.

Heh, if you want snow, come to Edmonton. We get lots of snow and it is kind enough to stay around for 4-5 months per year. It's nice for the first bit, but you end up getting tired of it after awhile. I'm already yearning for May/June. Matters of perspective, eh?

To the photos, though, I agree with Austintatious, the final photo is my favourite. I'm a sucker for well done, punchy but not overblown contrast, and that final shot really exemplifies that. Beautiful highlights. My second favourite is photo #2, nice minimalist photo. Looks like the snow was a bit slushy and beginning to melt by that photo.

I was testing out the 35/3.5 I recently got, Charles, and the Greenway seemed the perfect spot to do that. It was nice to have a camera I could operate with the gloves on.

Oh, I know about cold and snow, Van. I grew up in Indiana, and spent another twenty-two years in Ohio. Working on the railroad when it's twenty below zero is no fun. It's just that with the weather changes being the way they are, snow in our part of Virginia just doesn't last long anymore. Sometimes not even 24 hours. It's a sad state of affairs when the forsythias are blooming in January.
