To celebrate the birthday of Joe "Backalley Photo" (or whatever else!:D) i purchased a Yashica Electro35 CC.
CC like Compact Camera, indeed. 2 cm / 1 cm / 1 cm smaller than its GSN bro'. A beautiful little black pearl.
35mm f/1.8 lens clean, intact; 1/250 to 15+ s shutter speeds seem to work correctly.
Body is clean, rangefinder spot on (but a little bit fogged inside).
Even a px28A battery was included. And lens cap.

For 40 euro and 1 hour bike trip, I consider it a good catch! I am so happy:):):)Tomorrow i'll run a roll of NPH in it.

Soon a camera-and-coffee contribution too, i hope!

Great camera Pherdinand! I have one as well, it is smaller than my other fixed lens RF's with a nice lens. The only thing I regret about it is the shutterspeed limit of 250, so I shoot Acros at ISO 50 with a yellow filter to keep the speed down. The shutter is also very quiet, that is until you hit the advance and hear the famous Yashica ""clunk"! :)

Todd, I wonder what "signature" will leave the strangely shaped aperture on the photos, especially on the out-of-focus highlights on a dark background - e.g. lamps in nightscapes. Do you have any (online) examples of this?

Congrats. Black Yashicas are so damn sexy, eh? Here's a rerun of my GT.

Peter,
It's my favorite strap, so the GT is being honored. It came on a POS Nikon EM, that I sold as-is and kept the strap. With the red background and black accents, the strap matchs perfectly.;)

Todd,
Nice shots! I thought, "Did he get hurt defending the dachsie from the BIG dog?" :D

Strange - film winding/shutter cocking needs much more force than on the GSN. I wonder if it's normal. Anyway, i cleaned the rangefinder window from the fog, it's agreat finder, so easy to focus. The roll is almost finished,so - i'll see how it turns out.

Nice camera shot, nwcanonman! And I do like the strap - puts my boring black Domke Gripper to shame... :)
