the snow must go on
Hi forum.
Just thought of announcing my full satisfaction with the new(for me) yashica electro35 CC. The 35mm yashinon performs more than satisfactory; the camera mechanics/electronics work just how they are supposed to work. I uploaded already a few shots i took - not a big deal, just kinda "test" shots.
With 100-125 iso film i don't even find the 1/250s max shutter speed a real limitation (so far).
Here are some shots:
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=3605&nocache=1 (actually i'm amazed about the lack of flare in this photo!)
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/pho...08/password//sort/1/size/medium/cat/500/page/ (at 1/250s i think)
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/pho...10/password//sort/1/size/medium/cat/500/page/
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/3612/password//sort/1/cat/500/page/1(hope nobody will be offended - everything is accidentally positioned in the scene!)
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/pho...3/password//sort/1/size/medium/cat/500/page/1 (this one wide open, at 1/15 or even slower - not bad for handheld. I love leaf shutters!)
Question: why does yashica-guy say, you should not consider "serious portraiture" with this camera? Because of the 35mm lens? Because the 1/250 s max speed? Because the weird shaped diaphragma opening? or, am I missing something else?
