I just became aware of this technique when researching dominant eye from a shooter's perspective in this RFF thread. For subject's, it appears to have originated in the arts.
Are you aware of this technique and have you used it in your photography? Perhaps if you have a fine arts background you are aware of it?
It's the first I have heard of it. I need to explore this more.
