There's something about the quality of the Jupiter 8's 1930s Sonnar design that suited this subject.

It is true, the J8 is known as the best bunny lens going.

Both a carrot AND a stick? A hare-raising sequence...

Well, I was referring to the painterly, impressionistic quality of the optical abberations rendering a dreamlike, nostalgic view of childhood memories. . . Aw, forget it. . .

Uh-huh. . .
Thanks for the comments!

Great shots Peter. (Opportunities I probably would have missed after laying my camera down to grab a stick and carrots!)

Six comments into this thread and no one has made a Peter Rabbit joke. I'm disappointed.

Try shooting with a SMENA Symbol then you'll see what dreamlike pictures are!
I'm looking at the pictures, and think of:
"Can we have rabbits at our farm, George"
and
"But it's just a Harmless Little Bunny"
But no Peter Cottontail jokes.
I do like the Jupiter.
And my entry into Kids Feeding Cute Critters taken with J-8's is:
