Hi, I have dropped my Bessa R4M and chipped the viewfinder (evident from the front). I am located in Bali Indonesia and cannot find any spare parts online. I am not sure of which course of action to take. I called the Australian dealer and they said send it too us after I tried to explain the problem and suggested sending them photos first. I am not a camera repair man but i have a mechanical background. My concern was it might cost more than its worth.

A new viewfinder prism/rf mechanism and the repair labor will cost you around $375USD.
That should include labor, a CLA on the camera, and the new part itself.
If you're lucky they may have parts available and might be able to do it cheaper, but it's unlikely they'll have that specific part for your specific camera, in my opinion.
Expensive repair but the camera will come back with a brand new bright rangefinder and perfectly adjusted.
If the chip doesn't affect your photo taking abilities I wouldn't even bother getting it fixed.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I might just forget about the chips in the viewfinder.
Cheers.
Cheers.
