Fujifilm UK through their members website (www.choose-film.com) is now selling film direct to UK and continental european buyers.

I'm a member (and in the interest of full disclosure, licensed one of my images to them for marketing purposes but have no other commercial interest in Fuji) but can't yet buy direct from fujifilm UK... however I do wonder if it's just a matter of time before this becomes available in North America and elsewhere...

Would you buy direct from Kodak, Ilford, Agfa, Fuji etc... and presumably save some money by cutting out the 'middleman'?

perhaps this is the future of film??? thoughts?

That's a very interesting question, and I don't know what my answer would be. My doubt is because I think the long term future of B&W materials is in the hands of those excellent people at Adox, Retro Photographic, etc. I expect Big Yellow et al will drop B&W as soon as they can't make big-company profits from it, and at that point I'd hate to have been a part of a big-c cost cutting exercise that might have damaged the future of Adox/Retro/etc.

That's cool. I used choose-film when they were selling slightly out-dated stock last year.

However, if you live in the UK www.7dayshop.com sell Fuji film cheaper, takes 2-3 days from Jersey but havn't had any problems.

I'll be going to them.

I live in Portugal, and today got their mail telling me that I can buy film from them now.

The prices look good and, as said upthread, there is 5% off this month.

Locally Reala 135/36 would be €5.50, my usual internet supplier can do it for €3.75, but these people have it for €3.00.

Their relationship with Fuji seems a little obscure. I get the feeling that I'll be be buying from an online shop which supplies only Fuji products rather than from Fuji first hand. No problem there as they say that all the film is fresh and they deliver fast.
