My M5s need red dots!
Like you I've been admiring Chris's work for years, and I admire his generosity when it comes to sharing his knowledge about many things. Thanks for this interview! It reveals things about his images and technique that explain what we've seen and believe we know about Chris's work.

Thanks - glad you enjoyed it - and it was enlightening to learn more about Chris.
And thanks to the person who caught my closing line error. Proofreading is hard when you're tired.

Two photographers I admire, in one place!
The interview is outstanding.
Chris Crawford has a trained eye and motivation.
One does not need a trip to "Belugastan" to make images..
They are all around us!
It's not equipment, it's being able to see images..
I don't know if Dan still does his Rollei images, but shall look at his blog.
Than you "RFF" and Chris with "Crankycamera".

A good interview, very interesting. I always admire Chris work, his ability to make interesting a simple "non seotic" subject is really good and there is much to learn from him.
I like the sentence when Chris says "visual art, history, literature, politics, religion are all interconnected." Thanks for reminding it.
Thanks both, Chris and Dan for this interview, grazie!

Though he lives a bit upstate from where I was raised, Chris's photos make me long for a return to my hometown. It's a great interview, Dan.

Glad people are enjoying the interview - all credit to Chris (and to other people I've interviewed and hope to interview) - the questions are drawn from their photos - the goal is to make the interviews photographer-centric -- as we photographers carry our cameras thousands of miles we develop a sense of why, how, and when - so in my opinion as makers, we have certain things that resonate - just trying to explore this.

Dan and Chris, I really enjoyed the interview and photos included! I enjoyed reading about Chris's background in a consolidated fashion, and definitely enjoy someone having an eye for producing a fine body of work without shooting places/people that are considered the most famous/glamorous. The light is frequently good, and the stories/people are just as important out here in the middle.
