Yesterday I received my FED 2. It was advertised as a 2c but it's really a 2d V-8. It has a timer and the 2d V-8 was when they showed up. It was listed as a 2c because it is light blue. I have not found any mention of FED 2's being colored except for the 2c.

Today the J-12 and J-9 showed up. I won this auction Sunday and the lenses came today. Can't ask for anything faster. Of course, they came from New Jersey not Russia.

Here is the FED 2d.

I also won, and should be here by Sat., a Petri Tele-wide aux. finder. I hope this finder works for what I need it for. I could not finder any info on it on the web. It is basically a two focal length turret finder. But for $15 I thought I'd give it a try.

That blue really screams. It looks like the Ukranians painted the Vulcanite.

Your other purchase looks rather staid and conservative in comparison. An Albada viewfinder will look really nice on the Fed 3.

I have acouple of those Tele-Wide finders - one from Yashica, one from Petri, and one unmarked - they work quite well with the 35mm Jupiter, but with the 85mm parallax is a big issue at portrait distances...

The little that I've played with these two, I'm leaning towards the 3b. I seems to be a smooth, better built camera.

Thanks Roman about the info on the Tele-Wide finders. I was bidding on a vari-angle finder with parallax correction but someone wanted it more than me. I did take the price up beyond what I paid for the lens and decided it didn't make since to pay more for the finder than the lens.

One of the nice things about the J-9 is it takes plain old 49mm filters. The last Ebay purchase I'm waiting on is a Zeiss/Ikon 40.5mm light yellow filter.
