Subject: Response to Best camera repair shop in Portland Oreson area?
Let me put in a good word for Mark Hanson at ClassCamera@aol.com. He is located in Portland. He just completed a CLA on a Zeiss Super Ikonta and a Kodak Duo 620 Rangefinder. Both cameras had lens cleaning, shutter clean, adjust and lube and had the rangefinders trued. Many repair centers would have refused to work on the the kodak but Mark did a wonderful job on both cameras. --Equally important, Mark is a pleasure to deal with. No standoffish "I am the great technician" attitude. Just the opposite. Mark is conversational, friendly, a user of classic cameras himself and a generally all around good guy. I have used his services before and have been equally pleased. I am sending this reference because I know how difficult it can be to find both good and very affrordable service. --I have nothing to gain through this, I do not own stock, am not an advertiser but....... I do have a fondness for chocolate.
