Classic dealer site

Not that any of us need another place to buy cameras but, I ran across this site yesterday. Seems to be a good collection of classic cameras and accessories; the prices don't look bad. At first I thought it was part of the giant Ritz Camera company (which I worked for part time for 6 months once), but it's not. Just thought I'd let everyone know.

Thanks, Brian. Looks great -- I wonder if their company name works for or against them? (I never would have looked if you had not mentioned that they are not affiliated with Ritz Camera).

David,
Are you being pulled toward the fastest regular production full-frame 35mm camera lens ever produced in History?

Can't go wrong there!

Brian thanks for pointing out that they're not part of the Ritz chain - I had always assumed they were.

I find some of their prices a little on the high side, but the presentation of their goods is always excellent.

"but the presentation of their goods is always excellent"

Talking about presentation, I believe nothing beats kevincameras.com

beautiful pictures.

so expensive though...

One good word for these people in Ritz Collectibles: I bought my second Leica from them, and when I purchased a case for my Canonet, jokingly mentioned that I liked their promotional ballpens and they included two in the package.

My Leica came pristine, with a battery (brand new) and carefully packaged. They ship via UPS, and sometimes not as fast as you wish, but at least you can purchase goods from their website in a swift manner. Just one click! In general, their prices are pretty reasonable and they reply to e-mail inquiries. Their website used to be slower, but since they beefed it up last year it's a delight to check out.

Sorry if I forgot to mention them earlier... :(

I too had assumed Ritz Collectibles was just a "used camera" branch of Ritz Camera, and the URLs are very similar. Thanks for the clarification!

The store is about a half hour away from my new home. Very dangerous place to go into with a broader inventory of collectibles than I've ever seen in one place. His storefront just reads "Collectible Cameras". Only after you talk to the owner do you find out that his name is Sandy Ritz and he really dislikes people confusing him with the chain.
