Just some guy, you know?
First of all, upon reading my question please let me know if I've missed something obvious concerning "old" ads in the RFF Classifieds.
When a seller selects "SOLD IT!" from the edit options in the classifieds (putting a big SOLD on the ad), it seems that the ad will shortly disappear. This, I assume, is smart design from a "garbage collection" standpoint. But I've found myself turning to the Classifieds as a resource to inform my pricing and general value references, and often thought that more "persistent" archiving would be beneficial around here.
That said, I've also noticed that a lot of folks don't use the "Sold It!" option, and simply edit the title to read " *SOLD* ", or something similar. Is this practice used in order to accomplish the above, i.e., persistent ad archives? If so, I've not done that, myself, but will in the future - it would probably be useful.
If I'm stirring up a hornet's nest for some reason, let me know, and I'll pretend I never said anything.
Cheers,
