Hi, recently got a mint cle, great little tool!

On my CLE, the VC 50/2.5 with a 50/75 adapter brings up both the 28 and 40 mm frames. If you can imagine the 50 using the center 80% of the 40 mm frame, you'll be about right. Seems practical enough.
Though I rarely use the 50 on the CLE, it does make a nice compact package.
Learning to shoot the 35/2.5 using the 40mm frames was pretty easy for me. Experience using the 50 consistently will make you better.

I totally agree with that. That's how I used a Canon 50mm f/1.4 LTM on a Minolta CLE for this portrait :

Hi, not sure concerning your quesiton but I have a similar one (so sorry if I'm hijacking your thread).
I'm considering pick up a Canon 50mm 1.2 screw mount and wanted to find out if it's too bit (IE interferes) with the rangefinder on a CLE.

It goes on the Leica CL with no problem of focusing. The CLE is a bit bigger. Hope this helps.
