Thanks, but i'd rather do a DYI root canal than than do home repairs on my old M4.

Cleaning the mirror is a piece of cake. It's like you would w/ any camera mirror (which are nearly always mirrored on the front surfaces). The devil is in the details, like getting the top plate off your camera. That can entail buying or making a tool(s) to get the topside bits untethered from the top, along with paying attention and taking photos as you go of how things come apart.

Every RF is different. Here is no such simple access with Leica to toss not fitting in size, overpriced (and useless liquid for cleaning) swabs kits.
Instructions how to replace Leica half-mirror are available and half-mirror as well sold on eBay.
