Cleaning up the focus of 0.95, any advice?

While I have a 0.95 apart to investigate converting to M mount I may want to clean up the grease (if any is left) in the focusing mechanism. It is usable but a bit stiff, any tips on doing this?

I have the focusing mount separated but it looks like I may need to disassemble further to get to the all the threads. Is that true or could I push or pack a better grease into the threads that are showing? Any advice on the best, most stable grease for this duty?
