You know, I haven't yet seen a thread on what coffee RFF'ers prefer with their rangefinders...I have seen pictures, ad nauseum, with all kinds of cameras sitting next to a coffee cup in various locations, but perspiring minds need to know the coffee of choice!

I'm not an espresso snob, but like the beans roasted within the past week, then fresh ground for every cup or double shot, just before I drinik it.
But if there's a couple of ounces in the hopper from an hour ago, I won't waste it, and will either make a quick double shot, or save it in a different container for mix with grinds for drip coffee.

Whatever is in the Pot.
"Fru-Fru Flavered" Decaff that Nina picks up, mixed with Maxwell house. That way I can drink twice as much and spontaneous human combustion does not occur.

Greek/Turkish. Well roasted, then fresh ground to a powder (one of those old hand-operated mills), boiled up with sugar (I like it glycos) in one of those dinky one-cup coffee saucepans. Brought to the boil and allowed to cool three times.
A lot of work, though. Probably an ouzo instead...
Cheers,
R.

My usual coffee is the espresso blend from The Coffee Collective (but since they swapped the Ethiopian element with a one from Kenya, I've been 'forced' to look around). In the old days where espresso where pre ground Lavazza or Illy from the super marked, I were using Passalacqua "Harem" beans.
After more than 3 years with this setup the blend used are finaly becomming the all importen part of the equation
My first post on RFF (posted in a coffee and camera thread):

Very nice machine there Jeicob!
I seem to switch between coffee and Oolong tea on a seasonal basis. Still on the coffee, going through last bag or two of this:

Bummer, that Ethiopian is sold out. Johnson Brothers is very good, I've bought last several orders from them - good value, quick delivery (free shipping when you buy 3 bags) and excellent single-source small-lot beans.
I have a couple bags of the Sumatra Aceh Pondok - beans are a tad larger and there's some stronger fruit notes. I'd rate it as good, but not as good as the Ethiopian above.

I like the Peaberry's, especially with a hint of currant in the cup.

I french press in the morning, espresso is too expensive and involved for me right now even though I love it.
I get my beans at; http://www.rojosroastery.com/ If you're in New Jersey/greater Philadelphia check it out. Costa Rica, Honduras, Rwanda Cup of Excellence, blah blah, really great beans well roasted.
Just an FYI, beans 'should' be let to gas off for at least a few days after roasting. Usually 3 days to a week, but every bean is different, and in the grand scheme it doesn't really matter.
