I have been concerned that I have a need to gather cameras around me to kinda ground me in ASdee lostness .
However , this came into focus when I bought a copy of my 1st ever camera - a Prinzfex STTL of 1972 in badly scratched black [ on chrome ] .
I cleaned and repainted it and , with borrowed correct lens and case , it now remains close and creates a circle of familiarity in a seea of confusion .
I feel this about my Kievs and Leica-likes , but it,s never been as immediate as the cheap and basic budget Prinzflex .
i DO love using my cameras , but now am prepared to accept that gathering in cameras simply as a means of grounding my ASdee in constant ''noise '' is perfectly acceptable .
OK , it's not the original use of a camera , and I use my M 8 / Dig 3 extensively , but they help enormusly .
I wonder if this is a factor in some other gatherers ?

It's a factor more than I might like to admit. I have dozens of old cameras I never use. I mostly use one Leica M but someday I will put film thru all those great old cameras. Zorki's and Fed's and Exackta's, just wait. Joe
