I would like your opinion on the following: The yashica electro 35 G/GS/GSN is somewhat of a legend because of its 45mm lens, that seems to be very sharp. Yashica made some 'luxury' cameras that were equiped with a 40mm lens. (the GX & GL) This makes me think:
-Why didn't they make a luxury model with a 45mm lens, is the 40mm equally good?
-Was the 40mm focal lenght more fashionable?
-Should I get a GSN, in addition to my GX & GL?

I think the 40mm formulation may hae been somewhat more compact. The GX/GL/CC series was overall more compact.
