Finally found Colorluxe Express in Wan Chai, which I've read about many times on photo.net.

Why did I try to find it when I already knew a lab who've been processing my film for half a year? Because the lab I go to now charges extortionate amounts for developing+scanning B&W film or slides.

Colorluxe Express has very reasonable prices for 120, B&W and slide film, but I'd like to get your opinions.

Things like:
Quality of scans (dusty/acceptable/great?), how well they handle/treat the film (do they touch the surface or just the edges, are they gentle etc)

Punctuality - if they tell you it'll be done in, e.g. 3 days, because they have to send it outside for development, is it always, without doubt, 3 days?

I've been in there and looked around, but the 5 minutes I was in there talking to the guy at the counter, I didn't see any film being handled. I do know, though, that he was very patient with my questions and more than willing to explain anything I didn't totally understand.

One thing I forgot to ask though; just out of interest, what developer do they use for B&W? I think they send it to someplace for development and scan it when it gets back to them, but does anyone know?

Thanks in advance. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one in HK here 😀
