Oh, the flags. He's been hawking them for ... years now I think. (shakes head). If he really has that much tied up in them, well, he has bigger problems than us laughing at him... Same price as last time too, IIRC.

Exactly the same scary price.

actually 70K for 18 cameras is not that bad. works out to about 3800 an M7 which is about the price new (isn't it?).
We could all chip in to get our favourite country flag on the M7!
Pity they did not make them with the Singapore flag. I would have bought it in a flash ;-)

If he was smart, he could unbundle this deal and increase his potential market size, and probably get more money. Somewhat of a moron if you ask me. By doing it this way, he is essentially limiting himself to the 5-10 Leica loons out there in the world who could actually afford to tie up that type of cash. Maybe eBay is not the venue for him....Sothebys anyone?

Dude... I'm gettin' a Leica

Not quite... (how's this for a first post on this forum
) I just ordered a Leica m7 (new) from
ClassicConnection.com; I picked out the .72mm starter kit, which includes a 50mm F2 Summicron
for $3800.
I figured it was worth it for the 5 year warranty vs 18 months for the used one.

Man, wish I could do that. 'cept it'd be an MP - none of this 'auto' nonsense, thank you very much
But I've got my eye on an old M2 instead. Should I be able to convince the other half that _another_ camera is called for, that is!
/edit I have got to learn to type slower.

I sure do like the Canadian one, though.

Dodd camera in Cleveland has a Demo marked "Test Camera" with States flag on it. They tried to sell it to me, but it had the older finder in it, and I didn't want to deal with flare, so got the MP instead.
It's still there, if anyone wants it.

My M5s need red dots!
I guess eBay must be quite happy with the seller fees this lunatic must pay for every one of his wild sales. And how about the shipping.
Imagine all the styrofoam peanuts!!
I think this time I'll put his sale in my watchlist... Just for the heck of it.
Now that I remember, a couple of years ago some other lunatic put an ebay sale for 100 grand. It was his entire camera collection. He had enough to hold a sale or fill a truck with the shipping.
I wonder...

I am anxious to see how this sells. There must be some rube wallowing in cash out there with a major case of GAS.
