Hi all.
I’ve recently aquired my first Contax T. I wasn’t sure it’d be what I wanted so I got a cheap one from eBay that functions fine and has a good lens but has a slack lens cover. Slack in that whilst it opens and closes with good resantance and feels tight when extending or retracting the lens, when in the closed position it isn’t held tightly against the camera body meaning that it’s free to flop open to about 10°. This represents merely a slight annoyance as the lens is still protected from scrapes. I’m not afraid to look into the cause of this myself but before I do I wondered if anyone might have any experience with this issue and be able to offer any advice before I start digging. Thanks.
