Found a very excellent Contessa at an estate sale. It was a steal! What a wonderful camera. Bought it to resale but it is so nice it went onto my Zeiss shelf! Maybe ebay it later but not now.

If it is the one with the bellows, I can't blame you for keeping it. They are pure eye candy and I won't part with mine either.

It's the one with bellows! Even the way the neveready case fastens on and the wind-on connects is EXCELLENT!

PIX SOON!

They are beautiful cameras...one of the prettiest of the folding 35's. And Scherer still has NOS selenium cut just for the meter, if you want to go fully old-school. Congrats on the find!

Finally got my act together. I must say that I may have done better with a real camera. My old Sony focusses where it pleases and is somewhat prone to flare.

The quality and over engineering are quite evident. Check out the balancing foot and the way the case attaches! Instead of a cut-out in the bottom of the case they built-in a knob that links to the film advance!

You can see that it has a flea-bite or two and the tape residue from the previous owner's exposure notes is still there. I haven't cleaned it up any.

I like it!

I really must take it out for a test drive.

Those things ooze quality! I handled one once and was very impressed by everything about it (minus the highly inflated price asked by the seller). One of the best folding 35s ever made. And yes, I regret my decision (didn't buy that expensive Contessa) ever since...

Great pics! Thank you for sharing! :)

Yeah, all that chrome finish and built qualitiy is outstanding. I think it's one of the reasons why the german camera industrie went down.
They always focused on built quality but nearly had no technological development.
