Converting a Canon Pixma to B&W inks

Is it possible? I would like to put 5 shades of gray in there if I can - but it looks like no one makes anything for the Canon printers - only the Epsons. This is supposedly because the Canon is "hot flow" and the Epson is "cold flow".

Anyone know anything?

Should I sell my Canon and get an Epson?
